Anyone had a drama with a arb air locker binding up.
I removed the diff due the crunching sound , as if the diff was blown ,the diff checks ok .
replaced the o rings on the locker and tested the diff operation on the bench.
In the open center position with the axles fitted and holding the pinion still it feels like the diff is binding up when turning the axles.
Put in the lock mode and it works fine.
Only heard the noise when taking off hard or labouring it also when the locker was in too.
normal driving conditions ok ,even taking off gentally there was never a sound .
no metallic colour in the oil
ANYONE HAD THIS PROB BEFORE

Binding air locker

im a bit unsure of that actually, they only just got put in a couple of weeks ago, and we were gunna put in SAE90 which is what they reccomend for normal use, but i've got a sneaking suspicion they only put the original oil back in, i really dont think they changed the oil at all, im gunna check this soon tho
I'm taking mine out and replacing it with a lockrite , if its not the seals its the brass hose end that shears or the locker fills the line with oil or the seals blow again or the compressor decides to take a sleep right when you want it to be awake..... and its only 3 years old (and been rebuilt twice )
Cheers
