MQ/MK diffs Vs GQ diffs in comp rangey/buggy
MQ/MK diffs Vs GQ diffs in comp rangey/buggy
Hi all. Just wondering whats the best, running MQ diffs instead of GQ ones or Toyota internals? GQ ones seem the go for ease of install plus discs all round except its gonna cost at least 1500 bux for a descent set f/r and thats only 3.9 ratio v's about $ 450 for f/r MQ units and they are 4.6 standard, plus open centres for rear weld up, also the rear diff housing is ofset like the original. ( unlike GQ's) any opinions? cheers guys
I've got a WEAPON OF MOSS DETRUCTION
Well seeing as they are going into a rangie......
There are 3 advantages of GQ diffs....
The are wider
They have 4 wheel disk brakes
they also have a normal front diff.
MQ front diffs are cast making it difficult to weld the mounts.....
If u get offset flipped 15x8 rims u can make the width of MQ diffs the same as GQ diffs.....
the cost of MQ stuff is far cheaper and shaft angle for ur rangie is always good..........
If ur rangie is coils id be going GQ diffs....
screwy
