Hi all
I have noticed lately that whenever I get out of the car after driving a relatively short distance (say under 10km from home to the City) the back wheels/hub covers are very hot. I am not a lead foot driver or heavy braker, but my Rangie is equiped with bullbar, winch, rear bar, wheel carrier roof rack, 31" muddies etc...so there is a bit of weight. I did have new disks and pads put in about 18 months ago.
Can it be bearings or capiler drag or anything else??
The back wheels/hub covers are noticeabley hotter then the front when touched after a journey.
I am just worried about it as I am about to embark on a 5000km trip from Brisbane to the Gregory River in the North Western QLD and return very shortly and don't want to be let down with a ceased bearing...
Thanks for your help
Cheers
Andrew

I'll second that.
The original gasket is thin paper.
Any gasket goo should do the trick.
