GQ pistons

Post by allterrain2000 »

Hi guys just a general question. Does anyone know when the lighter pistons were put in the 4.2 diesel GQ patrol? Or is there anyway of telling what pistons I have from the compliance plate etc??

Cheers

I heard 1995? Either way I have not heard of any one having problems with the lighter pistons.

post august 1993 had the lightweight pistons.

They can handle boost probalby up to 12 psi to be safe... intercooling it makes it even better.

The pre aug 93 had the heavier pistons which could handle boost better than the post 93.
