GQ V8 ????????

Post by tuf355 »

am thinking about next project , GQ with injected 5L or a GEN 3, keeping 5 speed and all the normal goodies,GU diffs, 4.625`s , air lockers ect. So the first question is do i buy a petrol or desiel, thinking wagon & yes doing extra cab like all the others, but main concern is ease of engine conversion. Also have hear coil-cab ute chassis is stronger & has more bracing ????
what do you all THINK ??

If you are going for a petrol conversion then go for a petrol patrol. Will already have a lot of ADR stuff like charcoal canisters, ULP filler knecks & the like. This stuff can be pain as there is extra piping for the charcoal canister to the fuel tank.

Deisels dont have this stuff.

If you are fitting a later model motor it will exceed the requirements of the Patrol especially of it is NA category (commercial vehicle) rather then MC ( off road passenger vehicle).
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.
Well they are all following you...
No they ain't, I'm just in front...............

Even if the coil cab utes are stronger you can brace up the wagon chasis to a stronger point and pay $15000 less!
The wagon chasis are strong enough.
