75 series ute

Post by Doggy »

Looking at swapping/selling my GQ shorty and getting a 75 series ute off a mate for work/ 4wding. The one I have lined up is a 89 diesel 230'000 kms, b/bar, winch, side bars, external rollcage over the cabin, steel tray with cage and canopy, ladder/boat racks, dual batts, rust proofing air susp. seat and a bit more crap. Got standard suspension and tyres though as it was a tourer.
Questions I gotta ask

1. Lifting it and fitting extended shackles... is it worth it, does it give it a worthwhile amount of flex and extra comfort. Im looking at medium springs as the amount of crap I carry isn't really that heavy but I think light duty springs wont cut it.

2. Inherant problems and niggly annoying things. What goes wrong with them. It hasnt really done all that much hard 4wding so Im not too concerned.

3. Will the diesel push 35's without too much trouble? Its got exhaust and extractors on it to make a little bit of differance

Thanks guys
