FJ73 3F Auto engine swap

Post by Homer »

I am seriously looking at buying a Cheap FJ73 with 3F and Auto (which are in excellent condition 172,000KLms) but considering engine swap options of either
14BT and 5 speed
Question....does the H55F 5 speed bolt up to the auto transfer case or is there adaptors?
or
Comm 3.8 V6 and auto
Question .....is the fuel economy of the 3f really as bad as I have heard and is this a logical swap?
and as above is the marks adaptors kit going to suit my auto transfer case

Any comments greatly appreciated

Both on gas, whole new driving experience!!! Just don't expect change from $10k if you don't do any work yourself
