there was a first meeting ... and a comp commity is to be formed
im still waiting for the meeting to be called ....

as my utes gonna be a no go for this year ... i'll be all in for building
the new tracks and aquiring sponsors for the event

till then ... no one knows ...

yeh need to get it going .. i might have access to a 20ton excavator
have ticket will drive it ...

can also use my old mans 5ton one

just need to see some one about getting rocks in ... or some where
we can pick some rocks up

Hey hoonz I think you can still get a permit to get rocks from big crystal creek. You used to be able to get the permit from the palm nursery up there. Only cost $10 for all you could carry. ;)

ok from what info i have ..
the comps will consist of

a gymkhana style track
a barrel race
a winch event
a shortcourse style event
a nite nav (think this is on foot)
a river bed cannon ball run kinda thing

held over 2 days
theres other stuff to do as well for the public there will be a ramp
recovery demos n stuff

its all about having fun

theres not enough people in NQ to have just a short course style event
this way we're working the smaller guys into spending some on their rigs
to get them up to spec if u know what i mean

there will only be one comp open to public to my knowledge ...
will be an anual event

other events during the year will be club only

Luke are you guys still interested in the Mud Run - otherwise we'll wind it up for good...

Any idea on dates for your other comps?
If it's already been thought of...

we'll let u guys know about dates asap ... we discussed about having the cairns guys having some sort of blackriver membership for insurence reasons as well....

theres alot of things we have to sort out about the comps still

we're in discussions about babinda .. and we would like to continue it
