It's a shame this is the same weekend of the Genie Winch Challenge as Cris and I wanted to do this event as well this year, we might make it to the June Comp. That's if we survive this weekend!!!!!

Park entry is additional to competition entry fee ($60 for 2 days)
A second car (the registered navi's car) can enter free
Third party insurance extension is required to enter the competition, and will not be available on site
Steve
We Contact Black duck Today and they said that Navi's cars still had to pay the camping fees $15.00 per day.
Every obstical worth driving has an element of risk, without risk there can be no glory!
window netting
can anyone tell me if the vinyl windows on a soft top wrangler are sufficent to use as window netting as they were in ASCC or do we need actual window net
Your mammas on the top of my things to do list
well, what a weekend.....
i was in trophy class, which had a good turnout with 19 competitors in total, with vehicles from a little lj80 through to a few wranglers and up to patrols and 80 series.
track 1 for trophy class was in a gully, with a nice hole at the beginning, some rocks throughout the course, and a nice climb at the end. at the start of the day the end climb was proving difficult, but as the day wore on, it became easier and easier, whereas the hole at the beginning of the track got tougher.
on my run, which was 4th last on the course, the hole was nicely dug out, and i ended up in it, bellied out on a log. dave (80lsy gq) stacked some rocks, and with about a 5k launch, we managed to get out of it. the rest of the course was uneventful except for taking out a couple of cones and coping plenty of wheelspin penalties.
track 2 in the afternoon was sorta a half natural/half manmade track that included a nice downhill run at the start, some holes, and some log dropoffs. the first wrangler to attempt it had a near perfect run with only 15 penalty points. our run was going well till i came to a fairly simple hill climb, and bang, popped a drivers side cv
so, we stacked a little bit, got a ton more wheelspin penalties being only 1wd, and managed to make it a bit further along the track, down a dropoff, but dnf'd on a rock stepup
so, in the arvo we fixed the cv, then went down to watch a bit of the travel ramp comp. pretty sure chris woods in the yellow and red gq won this, though a white wrangler put on an awesome show
so, track 3 was in a gully again. the main excitment for the day was a guy rolling his rocky onto its side in a spectacular way. no real damage i think, but was awesome to watch
my run started off alright, got passed a bit we though would give us grief. then my tire got bound up between a bank and a rock in an easy part and pop, another f*cking cv goes (same side)
so, 2 cv's for the weekend
not sure of results, we didn't hang round for the presentations.
it was a good weekend except for the fawkin stupid wheelspin rule. this should be changed to ya get a penalty after wheelspinning for 2 seconds and ya get another for every 2 seconds thereafter. in open diffed cars, every time the wheels get a little light or hit an obsticle, they spin, and even if ya straight on the clutch, they still spin a bit and we were being penalised for this .....so i reckon it should only be after a couple of seconds, especially considering it is a 20 point penalty

went to watch for sat only and it was a really well thought out comp and very well organised!!
well done to those who competed in both trophy & challenge class - some real skill involved!
