Ahh yes, "that" Hilux. Give him 10 points for the idea, and -10 for the execution of it. Front springs sat so that the top of themwas a heap wider than the bottom (ie, angled outwards) and the steeringt damper was rubbing on a number of items. Also, the rear shocks sat in the "standard" Hilux position, BUT, the bottom of them were mounted further in towards the centre of the diff, but the top sat in the standard position, so they also angled out towards the edge of the car!!

Oh, and cut down steering rods for panhards :shock: , any wonder it broke!!

After reviewing the images I am bitterly disappointed and deeply disheartened. I will have to chop up all of my new project because I am obviously doing it all wrong. Back to the workbench for me. Wow, these blokes really understand the fundamentals of mechanical engineering.

Most entertaining 2Car, there is hope for us Aussie rockFabers yet.
