I've got 8's but have never heard of engineering requirements, if anybody official asks I just say they are smaller.

I know that RACV insurance is void with anything bigger than about 6.5.

gday fella,s. iknow of a guy who has 8" rims on his zook which has just been over the engineers getting its certificate. it was sweet with 8s but its a bit sus as the wheel spacers are on the certificate as well and they are not allowed on the road.... But hes laughing as he has the cert now..

I wouldn't like to be in his shoes when he has an accident.......engineers certificate or not, wheel spacers are illegal.

My cert mentions my 15x 8s as well ,but it also states the vehicle is modified to use 15x 8 " rims for competition use , this is a statment by the engineer to any scrutineers of events that may believe the the rims unfit for use on the car,
This is a very grey area between engineers , but i can assure you if your zook has 'comply's with ADR 24 on its compliance plate , an engineer can't legally certify 8" on a post 1973 970kg vehicle under ADR24.
