problems with the 85 model Pajero wagon

Post by SuPaTrUpA »

Apart from the rust.

It has a vibration, like, I remember when I had a HX 253, I damaged the Alternator fan, it is vibrating like that, my brother is a bit of an expert and he seems to think I may have picked something up under the car, but you rev the engine and it is still vibrating, I am thinking, either the Alternator, the Fan or maybe the starter is sticking in.

It was also suggested that the timing belt could be on its way out.

Also the batery seems a bit low sometimes but it still does start.

Oh, also the carby leaks petrol.

Checked the Alternator, cross that off the list.

Guy at local workshop said that it may be a balance shaft belt, will be after easter before he can do it.

are these expensive to replace?

Also there is some sort of can, filter or pump or something attached to the head next to the carby, about 3-4 fuel lines go into it, it is leaking petrol, are these easy to fix / replace?
