anyone with any info on these cars would be great. it got the non turbo 4.2 dsl in it. but its the 24v system thats got me.

plus the diff lock aint working but thats on the list for ron (l8ron).
anyone got one know anyting about them. any info would be great

Are you sure its 24volt and not just a dual battery set up?

well thats what i thought when i bought the dam thing. but its definatlly 24v
all my bulbs are 24v
the volt meter goes 2 32
its got he factory diff lock that dont work, PTO winch (life saver) no speedo or fuel gauge. (they fryed them selves)
and a thing called stabi lock?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any Safaris I`ve seen here in UK are Japanese Imports. I take it thats what yours is. They are 24 volt. Your stabilock may be anti rollbar disconnects. Some are equipped with turbos and some not. Generally they are high spec and well equipped. Maybe some guys on the electrics forum could give you some tips on converting certain items to 12v etc.

Yeah stabi lock is the rear swaybar quasi disconnect.

If you look in the passengers side kick panel there should be a 24v-12v converter courtesy of Nissan JP. It says it has a 10a output but its more like 5a. It powers the original radio but didnt have the grunt to run my Kenwood. Get a decent converter and bypass the original one.
Check out the electrical forum for heaps of info on converters.
