Body chop on ute tub - now body lift instead

From that list only alloy and steel are legal in Qld AFAIK. I've read about HDPE on this board but what does that stand for?

I vote alloy - still lighter than steel, and no chance of an argument.
For bolts, take in a nut when you go. I wandered in, gave them a bolt, told them I wanted M10 and 140mm long, and the moron came back with 3/8" UNC.

Alloy blocks
Hey Ute mad dude..
I just did a 50mm body lift on my MQ lwb on the weekend and i used Alloy blocks..
I got it from SMART ALUMINUM.. Moorooka.
I got 60.33 dia Alloy bar. Cut into 10.. 50mm blocks..
It cost me $46.
Them off to the engeneering workshop to have holes drilled..
12mm holes @ $4 a hole.. Good concidering i don't even own a drill Atm..
Then bolts cost me approx $55.. from BOLTS AND INDUSTRIAL. salisbury

hey dude, was that for your bodylift, cause they prolly gave u M10, but your body bolts are metric fine as in M10x1.5 is coarse, and 10x1.25 is fine.
hey utemad, i just done a 50mm lift on my hilux, got half a metre of machine grade alloy, but i machined mine in a lathe,
mines a 91 model, should be the same, 8 bolts at 130mm long
now i ran 10x1.25mm (fine) bolts grade 8.8's(high tensile),
fine has a better hold then coarse. i also ran nyloc nuts.

yeah, my alloy blocks are $22.00 for 2" alloy ones and bolts are extra.......I would use alloy for the cab, but poly ones should be ok for the tub unles you cary loads, I use alloy ones on my tray as I carry big loads often enough. alloy ones for peice of mind are worth it IMO, and still is a fairly cheap lift for pretty good gains

Just picked them up today. I got alloy ones for both cab and tray since they worked out so cheap. So that was 14 60x40mm blocks for $44. Just have to have a mate drill holes in them at work
