how much more do yo want? how much do you haved to spend?

if you want enormous power and don't care about fuel, put a V8 in it. If you want to keep it diesel, put a chev V8 6.5 turbo in it or find a 1HD-FT from an 80 series in it, and put a bigger/high-flowed turbo in it, with your intercooler etc. If all you want is a fast car, ditch the 4WD and get a WRX.

that said, if your 1HZ with all that gear is tuned correctly it should be making more power than that. how much boost are you running? which turbo? which intercooler?

how big is your intercooler and where is it mounted and what type is it? (top? front? air/air or water/air?) with that turbo high-flowed, GOOD intercooling and boost compensation I wouldn't hesitate to turn it up to to 14psi or higher, make sure it is fuelling correctly with the use of an EGT gauge. There is a diminishing return with high boost on indirect injected engines, you start wasting a lot of energy (therefore generating a lot of heat) because you have to pump all the air through the precombustion orifice (about the size of your little fingernail) - the only way to get more power from an otherwise similar engine is to start with a direct injected engine.

your setup should be good for a reliable 175 flywheel kW if the intercooler is very effective - ie around 150 - 160 hp at the wheels.

I'd be looking at the tuning/fueling with those numbers. How many KM on motor?? Have a 3" exhaust??

My 1HZ 80 series has a DTS (MTQ) kit, boost compensater, and 3" mandrell exhaust, makes 90.4kw ( 122hp), and 519nm @ wheels, at 11-12psi, non intercooled, std TD05H turbo supplied with the kit. EGT's is max 561deg C.

It has 35" BFG muds on it too. You can always dial in 15-16psi with a simple bleed valve, then see how it goes

I got a dts intercooler, egt and boost guages, the boys at northside 4x4 at caboolture set it up then i had it looked at gympie rv as well. it wont make any more boost than 13.5 lb. and its just a basic DTS top mount intercooler. i wanted 2 run hi boost but i think my turbo is 2 small or just is'nt suitable for hi boost. they told me if i put 35 bfg i would get at lest another 5 hp out of it. its sumthing 2 do with the the flex in the micky t or sumshit. thanks 4 ya help bud
