Illegal.
That's out of the way, 'hypothetically' if you were to make them, use some 36 nominal bore medium wall black mild tube., slightly larger than the OD of the original tube. Cut original, cut your tube to length, mitre the tube ends to suit the arms ends, weld in place. Finish off with some rosette welds joining the original to the new outside tube. You gotta press out the bushes first to prevent them burning.

Built, not bought.
We make our standard length etc arms from 40od X 6mm wall......
Seems to be very strong. Could supply you with the bush ends etc too if you like as we have the material for them also.
Would look neater than the sleaved job and be plenty strong enough.
Are u going to weld em???
Either way will be plenty strong just make sure you get a good welder/weld on em. Remember also that the standard geometry of the arms has the bushes on a slightly different angle than 90 deg to the arms. I am retarded at explaining but you will see when you take the standard ones out.

1 5/8" ( 41.275mm) 250thou. (6.5mm) wall moly. Tis what my arms on the 80 series are at the moment
, well, they will be soon, when i get round to fitting them

i would leave the old bushs in while welding, cos u want max heat in metal ends, most likely to distort ! it happend to me. then cut old ones out n push newys in, beter to sacrifice a bush than have to do it all again.my thort correct me if im wrong!

I think the bushs are offset about 25-30mm. Not 100% sure but.

BUGGERED IT'S A TOYOTA THING
I used 40mm OD with 8mm wall for mine and they still bent. They're now gusseted with 30x30x4mm angle and they seem to be holding up.
