Clutch vaccum hose

Post by legsx1 »

does anyone know why the Nissan shorty has a restrictor in the vaccum hose running to the clutch master cylinder. I have taken the short piece of hose off and replaced it with a clear piece (one you can blow through). It sure has made the clutch a lot lighter. :P

Didnt think its a restricor, its a one way valve so vac stays where its needed. Ensure any hose you use is vac rated ie, wont collapse.

bazzle I think its a restrictor as you can blow a small amount of air through it both ways. Its a short length of hose approx 150 long shaped like the letter S. Its up near the fire wall on passengers side
Mine is a 1997 Safari TD4.2T
