2inch... its all in, lovely, hunky dorey...

but wtf is up with the gearstick, and how is it that i manage to get my Mighty hilux to get back to its postition of able to select all the gears... ahve i made a fuck up... or am i missing somethihng..

help required

i spoke to about 5 people who had done it, on the same model as mine, and htey didnt have a problem... but all had heard of it occuring...

PITA it had to be mine...

i put 3" in mine, and had to slice away some floor panel, alternatively you can heat and bend your gearstick.... i belive...
i coulnt get 4th 5th or reverse...

trim a little at a time till you can get your gears, go slow so you dont go too far....

Gear stick modification:
The gear stick need to be cut on the vertical part. then a 50mm rod inserted and welded in place, as shown in this image.
to reomve the stick you can do as shown in the picture here, or you can insert two screw drivers into the top of the stick (where it goes into the gearbox) and turn, this will unlock it.

I had a few dramas with the stick popping out in reverse, just did away with 2 of the 3 layers of rubber in the gear stick boot, Slightly more noise while driving but no trimimg, welding or other fark arounds!
GU 4.2 TD Garrett BB Hi-flow, M8274 + Bells & Whistles with plenty of fruit still on the list!
