Does anyone know someone who can provide an adaptor to fit a 1UZ-FE to a manual GQ? Or someone who has done these conversions and knows what they are doing?
I have been severly screwed over by the mob who did my conversion - it stuffed my gearbox and I dont want it to screw another.
No dowels were fitted to the adapter to line up the engine and it seems something is out of whack.
The people who did it are not interested in fixing it.
I want to try another adapter or go to someone who knows what they are doing to fix the existing one.
thanks,

Toyota V8 into manual GQ - HELP!!!!
Castlemaine Rod Shop, Diecrest, Marks, Cheezy, best bets. Search for them if you don't already have contact details. I highly recommend you speak to as many people as possible before deciding on which way to go. I have had experience with some of the above and have had various experiences. Ask Cheezy though.

Adaptor plate
That sux. Sorry to hear it. It was an unusual whine when I went for a ride in your beast.
I know Marks Adaptors dont have this adaptor as stock yet having inquired recently. It's really a custom job.
I do have a spare GQ gearbox with undetermined spare parts possibly of use.
Option 2 might be to transfer a matching Tojo gearbox with adapter to Nissan t'fer case???
Either way a big job on a heavy gearbox.

Thanks Peter.
I had a look at it today and there is about 5mm of play around the bell housing on the bolts - bloody ridiculous that they did not fit dowels to line it up. Very unprofessional.
I guy from another conversion place is having a look on Monday and may try to fix the adapter or I am going to be up for a new one, and engine mounts, etc...
The guys who did the converstion dont want to know, they reckon the gearbox had the whine before they started - absolute bullshit. I am thinking of calling consumer affairs on them.
Anyway I still keen for that cage - would like to pick it up as soon as the car is right if thats still convenient.
