HZJ75 ute - This is good value??

Post by Mytqik »

Guys,

My cousin is offering his 1992 HZJ75 Landcruiser ute for sale. It has the following specs:

1992 model
Grey interior
1HZ 4.2 Diesel with reco fuel pump (thanks BP) & new glow plugs
5 speed manual
Air Con
Power Steering
10 Stack Sony CD player, Sony head deck + 6x9" speakers
UHF, AM & digital 3watt phone all mounted in a overhead console
Twin Diesel Tanks
Steel Bullbar with 8000lb high mount winch
Side scrub bars + Running boards
15" x 7" ali rims
metric tyres (same rolling diametre as 9R16) about 80% left.
280,000kms
Steel tray
extractors, 2.5" diametre exhaust & single stack (bogged & co can say what they like, I thinks stacks are  )

He wants $15,500 for it. Do you think it is good value?? This one has only ever been used for private use & has not had heavy loads or towed trailors around.

Is there anything that I should look out for when buying a 75 series?

Thnaks for your advice.

My cuz is a diesel mechanic so I would say it is pretty good. He has had it since buying it off the army in 1994. It has run faultlessly ever since. The only thing that he has needed to replace (apart from oil etc) was the seals in the diesel pump, cause of the low sulfer diesel.

Anything else I should look for?
