anyone know of a way to clean out, or get junk out of the fuel primer that sits atop the fuel filter for a 2.8 hilux
i finally finished the engine conversion into my 85 model today, went to start it up, and its not getting any fuel, after checkin everything else, thats all we can find

Buy a new one. Honestly. A new one will have improved tolerances for the new low sulphur diesel fuel in regard to the seals, a new one with primer built in will set you back about 120 bucks and takes the cheaper Delphi 296 filter. about 8 bucks a throw.
You can prime the system with compressed air into the tank if you were wanting a short term solution.

thanks for the advice area54 i went out and tried your idea, as i dont have a chance to get into town for a while, it worked well, i got it workin, fired up first hit
