Another NSW zook goes SPOA
Finnaly got around to fitting my SPOA diffs today. Still got small things to do, like fit new rear shoes, get rid of the bodylift, organise a trac bar for the rear (soft as hell in the rear) etc. Shocks are limiting it a fair bit at the moment. Had to put some crappy old shocks in the rear to make it fit. Anyone got any pics of there rear shock mounts??
Layto....
Daryl has pics, so hopefully he will supply the visual effects.

Excellent work & great close up shots to study!!
But bloody garden hose for diff breather!! Is there something special about a hose or is it just a very cheap mod? I only ask this because we bought a sierra recently with this home made jobby which ran the back hose really close to the exhaust and it was starting to melt Not saying that you would be that silly but wouldn't there be a better material?
PS nice zook, nice backyard workshop... very clean

Guide to spoa lift?
hey verynice mod! Im keen to do this to mine but im a newbie when it comes to this kinda stuff. Is there any step by step guides to doing this to mine? Like the parts needed or any hints on doing it? I have heard around the traps that drive yokes can slip out and brake lines are not long enough and axle can occur and steering arms cannot cope or something. ALl i want is for someone to get rid of the myths related to this mod or if they are facts then so be it. Good to see plenty of pics! Everybody loves em

w00t, big to Daryl for the work. Love the ride on the road too.
Swampers are in the garage, just waiting on rims and stuff. BL is goin too, so will sit 2 inch lower (thank god, its way too high).
Got some small things to sort out now, like a lose LHF wheel bearing and shocks that re-mounting badly. The front in the photos is top and bottom of the shocks, there is heaps more in it. Gotta lay the rear shocks over with longer shocks, and fix up the front. Prob wont get much more up travel as the swampers will have a fight with the guards. The rear wont travel much more up either, for the same reason. If i can get a trac bar sorted by the weekend, then there will be some photos this weekend. Also sourced 4 standard rears today, so RUF soon too.

More updates. Fixed a few little things, new wheel bearings (old lhf was rooted) and cleaned up a few little noises. Now runnin standard leafs, as the realy soft ones had settled into a RHS lean. Will be playin with leaf packs when time permits to get it right. Started measuring up shocks and mounts.
