5 link questions

Just a newby on this forum, but just throwing around ideas. Want to know can you do a 5 link on a patrol with a 4inch suspension and 2inch body. Do you need to go higher or does height not affect this?.

Next question how mcuh more will it improve flex, in terms of wheel travel(inches), I seen pictures of it, but that was for bigger trucks. Thanks

as far as i know you can build a 5 link for a standard height patrol and for that matter any height your body lift won't come into it it will improve your front end flex heaps well it should but remember your travel is limited to the amount of travel your shocks have

The good thing about getting a body lift is that you will be able to run shock towers, that way you can get longer shocks.

The only problem with fitting longer shocks is the spring`s will fall out
unless retaind some how.
Or longer bump stops which will reduce up
travel :?:

the good thing about the front is if you clamp it to the diff the cone will retain the spring

My springs sit about 5mm from droping out under the bump stops on
full droop

I thought about longer shocks`But than the roll over risk would be huge as their would be no weight on the spring and if the car came down quick
on that corner things may go belly up

just retain the springs

not hard to do

and makes the rig ALOT more stable

u force the springs to work for u
on a side slope etc they will help hold the vehicle
