DeWsE wrote:Sorry didn't realise this forum was only for the "Super Elite".
I'll start posting again when i'm 50, by then i should know everything 4x4 like you guys
But I'm sorry grimbo, i forgot you've never asked for help before!
never said it was and I have asked plenty of times however I have searched before that is all. Questions are looked forward too as everyone benefits from them. What we are trying to say is just take a little moment before asking and try and find the answer yourself if you can't find it then ask away. Also maybe lighten up its the internet and it is all in good fun

I'm not getting down just sticking up for the not so regular guys.....
I've read all 37 pages on this forum and loved it, and most questions i do search but any way.....
I was thinking about making a fully sick 4x4, i've been thinking about what would work best and what i could use from whats lying around the yard. This is the ultimate recipe that i've come up with.
1. SPOA best mod known to mankind
2. No shocks, not worth the money
3. Some wooden wheels off the horse cart
4. pioneer head deck with 50x50 watt channels running some focus splits, 18x 12inch type R subwoofers powered one big amp.
5. BLING everything
This is going to be so cool, what do you guys think
Your input would be great as im going to start the build soon
PS. didn't bother with a search coz it was easier to just ask

I reckon you are onto a winner there just a couple of thoughts
1. make sure you use the new fangled steel stips on those wheels don't want any splinters flying
2. need some neon to flash in time with the booming beats
3. Chrome, lots of Chrome hey Damo
4. A recliner rocker for a driving seat, may as well be comfortable
5. harlequin paint job
6. fluffy dice and a fox tail on the aerial
Keep us updated with pics

Hey skippy in the auto trader a while back their was a willy's jeep, which was totally chrome and polished. The body was hand made!
You should try get in touch with the guy who made, coz it you did you would haver the most capable zook ever.... and not to mention you would be the bling bling surpreme queen
Do you think if you chrome your rig you would be able to turn bigger tyres? maybe something like a 185/55/13, coz if you could then i might do it myself.

But mind you a 22inch bodylift made from exhaist tubing is kinda cool... I would run it
Especially with a 1.3 and no mention of additional gears on 44's

He'll only tip over coz of the SPOA right Grimbo?
No no no - SPOA's are super stable, its SPUA cars that are always on their lid - you're confused Damo (as per usual)...
If spring under doesn't give me the clearance, and spring over is a bit unstable, could I cut the leaves in half and weld them either side of the axle housing?? Should be just about right I reckon...

you sure can mate but if you want to to make sure it'll last and so it's a bit stronger, make sure to put lots of duct tape over the welds too
Mark.

SPUA or SPOA doesn't really affect much offroad.
Its the front diff that stays together that makes all the difference

Do you know anybody who sells 30 inch tyres, and would I need to cut less if I fitted them
Good point, no one sells 30's so better buy 31's and then cut the lugs off.
You raise a good point, but instead could I buy 29's and glue lugs on??

Meanwhile, welcome to the 20th century with the news that the scientific community have released a "plumb-pudding" model of the atom, but alas grumpos rig still isn't registered...................
