The suzuki lean.
The suzuki lean.
I have noticed mine a lot of the zooks have the driverside lean.
I know most of the zook weight is on this side as well.
what can be done about it. I have a 2" lift and seems only 1" on one side.
I have heard of people putting different amount of leaves in but don't know which pack to change and how many leaves.
cheers

cool. found some posts as well that have said roughly the same.
Have to have a play with the packs. Do you reckon 1 extra long leaf or short one or a load leaf?
Thinking after the BL maybe running a std set of rears all round maybe. Might flex more than the lifted ones.
cheers all

Redzook used a main leaf with the eye’s chopped off by memory. I was going to run a second leaf in my next car.
A lot of standard springs are stuffed. Most have sagged and weakened. Springs have a life span and I would prefer to use a one year old spring compared to a 15 year old spring. Badooky for example had some well used lovells on the rear of his, which snapped when wheeling.
Just expect the lifted springs to settle a bit and you should be fine.

Cool, thanks dewse, didn't know badooky had that happen. I will persist with these springs then and find a new main leaf for rear pack.
If I have lifted springs and want to put a new main leaf in, do it get another lifted leaf or can i use one from a stock set of springs?
thanks redzook
cheers

Alternatives:
Get a fat navvy (preferably weighing many kilo's more than your own weight)
A bag of cement placed under passenger side seat, and behind
Rooly long shackles on driver side, standards on left
Unbolt motor, shimmy to the left a bit til you get the right weight balance
And, don't eat too many easter eggs this year like I probably will!!!!!
..... I really should be getting back to work

I run heavy duty OME on drivers rear and standard OME on the left..its not just the weight thing, but the torque twist that loads up the right rear more.
front is standard ome, which has a heavier/more arched spring on the drivers side anyway.

Thanks Christova1. I am going to play with mine soon. Gonna get a price on another leaf for the rear pack.
Alien. You've bearly been offroad in the last 2 years, and I am running RUF without loadleafs. = softer
What is cold reseting leaf springs anyway?
Thanks
Nic

I use to cold reset leafs by pulling the pack apart than place one end on driveway and the other on a block ( about 12" high) than drive on to them with my Rocky. Do this to each leaf so they all the same, reasemble. Mind you I was flatening them because I was lowering a race car.

mine handles better, as its less likely to lurch when left turning at speed.
it turns right fine, because my 110kg holds it down
{droopy pete has even less trouble holding it down }
