hey,
looks like the gearbox front bearing has shat itself,i am gunna rip the box out and get her fixed up,can anybody give me any advice on the easiest way of taking the box out,also would be interested in a secondhand gearbox to suit it (1983 LN65 with a 2L engine) if somebody was wanting to get rid of one.

Removing Hilux Gearbox
Moderators: toaddog, Elmo, DUDELUX
Drop out the starter, drop out the rear tailshaft. drop the diff flange on the front shaft. undo wiring and hydraulic line. Remove gear sticks, remove bellhousing bolts and bring the g-box out with the front shaft and x-member still attached. Make sure you got a buddy to help you lift it too.
I would change the clutch too whilst im at it.
