I have heard that standard 80 series landcruiser shocks will suit a rangie. Is this correct? I currently have a 2inch spring lift , and if 80 series shocks fit, will they cause the spring to dislocate or remain fixed. My shocks bilsteins at the moment are running out of travel, ie the spring still under a little load when shock is fully stretched.

The 80 series and the Range Rover both have pin to eye in the rear but the 80 series has the eye in the bottom and the Range Rover has the eye at the top. So you would be running the shock upside down which you can do with Blisteins(mono something).
You can get a bracket that converts the bottom rear of the Range Rover to an eye therefore you can run eye to eye in the rear as you do in the GQ.
The front of the GQ is interchangable with the front of the range Rover but are different lengths.
The front of the 80series is pin to pin as is the Rangie but no knowledge in this area.
I have a Range Rover, GQ (brother inlaw's) and an 80 series sitting in the front yard so if you are desperate for measurements give me a pm.

lots of us on here run 80 Series front shocks on the front of a Landy. On some of them, the front tower has to be lifted 1/2" to an inch so that the damper dopesn't go metal to metal on full bump. 17" free length springs are still retained (just) with the longer shock.
