Strange Rover. You really talk shit. Find the posts where I have thrown mud at 4WD TV. The last post only highlighted some facts about the show. Are you saying that what I posted was wrong. Did I say that the show was no good. Yes, the adverts pay for the show.
The only times I have commented on Mudtoy is when he has either had a shot at me or somebody else. When I have a shot at someone, the posts get deleted and I get threatened with expulsion from the site. There are different rules for different people on this site. I have no interest in Mudtoy, I would certainly not waste my time chasing him around this site. But again you just like making up things to suit what ever agenda you have going. What is your agenda anyway. You are obviously hassling me for a reason.
Simon does not hide the fact that he is trying to make a profit out of the show. Do not try and make out that he is doing this for the benefit of 4WDing.

P76, thankyou for your continual posts, we appreciate you attracting attention to our program. Positive or negative, it is great that new viewers will be made aware of 4wd TV and will in turn make up their own minds.
Thank you also for presenting such a misinformed and maligned view of myself and 4wd TV. It gives me another opportunity to set the record straight.
You have admitted that your initial opinion of me and the 4wd TV program were guided by Mr Hari Maragos. This unscrupulous character will never produce a TV show for numerous reasons.
Yes we were once in business with him but his behaviour generated a backlash against himself and any future projects of his. We have written statements from the community TV stations nationwide that they will never work with him plus written statements from every industry body involved at that stage in support of us and the future of 4wd TV.
If the industry and the TV forums all concur that he is not worthy of support...why would you?
You also seem to believe that 4wd TV is a big dollar industry. I can not hide a profit... because there is none.
Each episode of 4wd TV takes around 80 hours to edit.
On top of that we have to chase, meet and film sponsors.
On top of that we have to be at events, interstate and international, as well as driving and reporting locally.
Just to be clear...4wd TV makes no profit. My wife and I live of the earnings of another company. For those who are interested...we run a nationally accredited and Registered Training Organisation and we prepare prospective Medical School students for entry into university at an international level. Students who sit our program are three times more likely to be selected than those who don't. Changing peoples lives and making dreams come true for so many is hugely rewarding!
4wd TVs expenses are massive and any production company would quote in excess of $15,000 to do what we do PER EPISODE!
We make no profit...AND I have not seen a cent for the 15 hour days I have put in continually for the last 7 months.
Yes the show has sponsors and shit yes they deserve air time. They are the ones with the guts to put up the dollars so this can work.
Have you read 4wd monthly lately...count how many ads are in that and have a good look at how they responsibly portray 4wdrivers...(I'lll just have another few cans of XXXX before I get on the 9 inch grinder)....and not that I am bagging the mag at all...it is just a respective stand point.
You have also questioned my ability to run a business and to deal with people. Both our businesses are hugely successful. One pioneers the exposure of 4wheeling on community TV and the other pioneers a field of elite professional training where we deal with the cream of academia across Australia and New Zealand every year. In both fields we are highly regarded and respected.
We have another station in NZ begging for our show, ARB have joined us and our agreements with Michael Ellem and Shane Barlow have been formalised. Both BFG and Nissan have now approached us also.
Running two businesses at the head of their respective field takes forsight, committment, business acumen, management skills and of course people skills.
I do not throw mud at people...I have stood up for 4wd TV against misinformed and incorrect views and statements. I can admit that at times my earlier responses were emotionally fuelled but I think that most will understand just how difficult and frustrating it has been to set 4wd TV up and keep it running, in light of all of the obstacles.
People aren't just hassling you for no reason...they have either watched the show continuously, seen us working in the field or understand what we have gone through to get this project going. You are misinformed, you are a perpetual knocker and it is just what we have come to expect from you.
On one hand I would like to plea your case that you are not expelled from this forum, as again...your rantings just attract attention to 4wd TV...and you are, as the case is progressing, certainly a minority. I say good on you for bashing your head on the wall.
My handle is Mudtoy, which for me signifies that I own a Toyota and I enjoy mud, plus of course the pun on toy. You drive a nice blue rangie and I pressume that it runs a P76 motor. Are you aware that the P76 was widely considered a flop of a vehicle?
It is also hard to take you seriously, Ian Matthews, when, as the story goes...you are the sort of person who dobbed their own 4wd club into the tax office. Whether right or wrong I am sure that you could have resolved any apparent issues with the finances of one of Australias largest clubs in a more tactful and professional manner.
I also believe that this resulted in disciplinary action being brought against you before you resigned from the club.
I was not there, I do not know the full story ...but that is what specific people are saying, whom to me would seem to know.
How about this Ian...you make your own show...or you pay us $15,000 per episode and we can take ALL of the advertising out of 4wd TV.
Oh and by the way...we have just been informed that 4wd TV is one of the top three rating shows on community TV across the country. Hooray for us.

Mudtoy, It is nice to see that you haven't changed. All I have said about you is that the only time I have replied to you is when you got stuck into me or someone else. You have admitted this in your reply, so how of my views misinformed.
My view of you has nothing to do with your previous partner. I spoke to him once in a pub. My view of you is based on how you conduct yourself on this forum.
Obviously you look for any opportunity to bag him. Why does this surprise me.
I did not say that you make a profit currently from 4WD TV. I stated that you do not hide the fact that your aim is to make a profit from the show. You confirm this from your response.
You keep on saying that my views are misinformed. Can you actually quote the sections, firstly where I knock the show rather than simply highlight some facit of it. and secondly why those comments are incorrect.
You will not get me to identify myself by saying some poor bugger you have heard of is me. Maybe he will have some kind things to say to you too in the future.
Your the 3 top SBS show in Victoria. How about telling us what the two that beat you are.
I leave anything I say open for challenge. So far Patrolman is the only one that has done this. In regard to whether M&M Engineering was a commercial or not. You are just like the rest that believe that if you throw enough mud, some will stick.

I dont understand what the deal is if Simon and Miranda made a profit.
1/ They put in a shyt load of time doing there JOB, I saw them filming at the Pajero 24hr. The first time we passed them was at 9am and the last time we passed them was at 3am in the middle of knowere.
They also put in a full day at the Wandin show filming all day then the last time I saw them was the 2 and a half days I was at WE Rock, they were also on the camera the entyre time.
2/ That is only the time we see them put into it and im sure there is twice that behind the sceens.
3/ Who cares, You all go to work to make money so whats the differance.
4/ It takes time money and alot of guts to get something like this up and going and also takes big balls (sorry Miranda).
I hope this thread dosnt go on like this any more as its turned to shit and isnt helping anyone.
Watch the show or dont watch the show I dont care, just dont crap on about it. I think its doing alot of good for 4WDing and the industry in general.
Thats my 2 cents worth now go outside and play

NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

who isnt it bussines to make profit? you would not do it unless it was financialy suitable....sitting with a camera in the middle of bum fark at 3 in the morning waiting for some headlights to come over a hill sounds like it must have pretty good profit to keep the physical strain at bay!

I am usually too busy soI have only ever watched 4wd tv twice when I caught it while channel surfing on the occasional Sunday afternoon. Yes there are a lot of ads but thats ok, Its free to air and there is nothing else 4wd related on TV ,unless you include the regular 4wd bashing segments on current affairs programs.
I even got to see a bit of my block of land in Toolangi when they covered the LandRover club of victoria trial day, which is more than time constraints have allowed me to do in person this year.
Bill.

Who are you mudtoy. You would have to be a real tool. I am Ian Matthews, I drive a Blue Rangie and I had a run in with the Committee of the LROCV 2 years ago. The rest you quote is bullshit. I don't know you and you don't know me. Lets keep it that way. Tell the person from LROCV that told you these things to get a life after 2 years and get off my back. Now keep my name out of what ever petty little dispute you are having.

question to p76 rangie
Not related to the thread.. but why does your email under the 'email' tag under your posts say 'ian.matthews@bigpond.com'
As well as previous posts finishing with 'Ian'
Im guessing thats where mudtoy was able to identify you .. and then the 'real ian matthews comes on'
I smell a furphy here..
It has been an interesting thread.. criticism is always good.. but pretending to be someone else isnt...\
BTW on topic...
Simon - you're doin a great job.. anyone who commits themselves to such a huge workload deserves a pat on the back, and the futures lookin bright...
Just my 2c on this matter.

nice bit or detective work there, and i think this is very related to the curent topic of the thread and it might help settle this argument.
as for the show is it comming to canberra any time soon?
Matt
This is what we have got:
Both p76rangie last post at 9:16am this morning and RangieBitsa post at 5:15pm both have the same IP which fairly well guarantees that the posts were made from the same computer......
Also p76rangie email address is 'ian.matthews@bigpond.com' as stated above and RangieBitsa email is slightly different but contains imatthew....
If this was pirate4x4.com both of you guys would be banned by now.
Anybody care to explain.

Conspiracy theorists. There are 4 Ian Matthews at my work alone. Someone has put 2 and 2 together and got 10. The only reason I commented is that I heard I was getting bagged on this site. I personally stay away from this site. It is full of the yahoos that give 4WD a bad name. Check my email address and you will see that it is not what you quoted. The person described by Mudtoy was myself. He got a bad source. Leave me out of your little exercises.
