What is the little silver box under the fuse box on the drivers side.

if its what i think you are refering to, then it has a nut through the middle of it. Its the connector for the rear lights.

when i get home ill have another look. is it directly below or off to a side?

If i remember correctly it´s the control box for rev counter and engine control, maybe even some glow plug thingy ...

yeah cheers ludachris i found out today that its the ecu with glow plud timer in it and when i converted the truck to a 4.2 the auto sparky taped the 4.2 glow timer in to it or else all my dash and crap wouldnt work only other way round it is to put complete 4.2 wire harness in my truck
Shoped round to day and you wouldnt beleive what nissan want and no wrecker has any but giantracing has got one so ill drop in on him tomorrow to grab it and it should also fix the prob with my tacho and lights so anyone with a 2.8 DO NOT DROWN YOUR CAR these boxs dont like it
