east west or north south import engines

Post by christover1 »

Any body know if the engine numbers (G13B G13A G13BA etc)tell me whether engine was fitted east-west or north-south. This may help me with Japanese engine import hunting. I can convert a Swift/Barina motor to a Sierra, but disassembling may stuff warrantee, or add enuff to the price, that it better to get right motor, or reco one. :?: christover

thanx everyone fer assistance, a Japanese imported G13B is on its way to my place Yee Haa. Thanx Ma.
About 3yrs old, 6months warrantee, all suzuki original parts. Always
had better luck with imports, rather than rebuilds. My old Moke still
going after 8yrs with its import motor(engine) from England. Its an
east-west, probly Barina or Swift, but not much to change over, and I
got all the bits I need on the old G13A, christover.
