G13 A or B ???

Post by christover1 »

G13 A or B ??? If I go for a japanese imported motor (most likely as I get carby and a few other bits, and they are still Suzuki original parts) then should I try to get a B motor? I know they are newer, but are they better? And if so, why? And will it bolt up the same?? The G16 seem to be harder, and much dearer to get. And what is the meaning of life? christover.

Both A and B bolt up the same , not much differrence there .
the g16 requires some mods to your gear box , welding some tabs on , two bolts line up and two need tabs . Fab engine mounts .

Unleaded has been law in Japan for long time, even my old 1983 1.0 litre ran well on unleaded. The owners book says over 85+ octane, preferably unleaded. But thanks. Christover

thanx everyone fer assistance, a Japanese imported G13B is on its way to my place Yee Haa. Thanx Ma.
About 3yrs old, 6months warrantee, all suzuki original parts. Always
had better luck with imports, rather than rebuilds. My old Moke still
going after 8yrs with its import motor(engine) from England. Its an
east-west, probly Barina or Swift, but not much to change over, and I
got all the bits I need on the old G13A, christover.

They also had a G13BA block in Australia. Apparently, they had a G13K block as well, overseas somewhere and not in Oz, I think they were the later twin cams.

Regards,
Matt.
