Navrun . DARGO

Post by Drafty »

Frank the Navrun set up similar to the Pajero Challenge in the way that you don't have to be super quick to be competative, you have to be precise and thorough when taking and matching your photos and spend some extra time before leaving camp planning and plotting your route. Unlike the Pajero Challenge it is not a 24hr drive so you are not dead tire at 4 in the morning and stuffed on Sunday. Saturday usually finishes around 5, in for dinner and then back out for a night stage, usually about 3hrs, then in for a good nights sleep. Sunday usually starts at 8.30 and back in 4. Presentations are at 4.30.

If you spend the time at the start planning your day, don't be surprised if you end up in the top 15, a lot of people just rush out, big mistake.

Also your navigator must know how to use your GPS inside and out, very important, it plays a big part in finding exact locations of photos and saves valuable time.

So is anyone else going to be there?
Joe.

The GPS worked well in Tassie, most of the terrain we covered wasn't dense forest so GPS coverage wasn't a problem. We did a night stage on the beach, had to put 7 points in, the keypad sure made it easy, quick as.

Juzza, doing dargo? Come on buddy, we need some GOOD COMPETITION as Tassie competitors just wern't up to scratch, so l read somewhere on this forum. :finger:

Scanned it with Norton, nothing came up. Has anyone else detected a problem?

Yeah thinkin' about it though we might have trouble putting the same team together as the one last year. What about the Vic boys runnin' mega-boost, couldn't they keep up? Someone also said the Tassie boys are a bit one-eyed with vehicles???
So 'Drafty does Dargo', can't wait for the video. :D :finger:

Mega- booste, that was just for the sand, 20 pound for a few minutes shouldn't do to much harm, just blow out those cob webbs. There shouldn't be a repeat of that this time, no sand or long stretches at dargo.

So come on, whats wrong with your team, scared are they (of your driving style  ). :finger:
