gq exhaust hitting shocks issue

Post by Monty »

my gq now has 4 inches of lift under it using all tough dog adjustable big bore shocks. It is td42 with turbo and 3 inch exhaust.

unfortuently the big bore shocks dont allow enough room for the exhaust to fit between them and the fuel tank. Has anyone with a similar set up encountered this problem?

How did you overcome it?

Same problem here with 2" efs.

AS I mangled my exhaust it got fixed at that point by rerouting.

OK you can reroute it (bend it more towards the fuel tank) but if you ever fit a long range tank then you simply will not be able to have the exhaust run between the tank and shockie. I would suggest a total rerouting of the rear section of exhaust.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Monty you didn't say if the lift came with a panard rod to re centre the axle housing :?:
