What tyre size are you running?

Post by bj on roids »

If you could change, tell us what to and why you would change below, this includes, if you want to change to *bling bling* 17" rims

cheers
rob

This will be counted as height of the tyre as specified by the manufacturer, normally on the sidewall of the tyre!

OAY, im running 42" super swampers now, but streeting 35" BFG muds, so ill vote for the larger of the two, id really like to run some 9" diffs, clearanced, or portaled, with 17" beadlocks and krawlers

or just some 44x19.5 boggers too 8)

31 atm 33's on back order

but i think i will stick with the 33's on this runner - i really need to just get this streeting good / mildly built for off road and get a single cab lux ( less sheet metal! )

on my single cab i like those new 40" mtr's

i have 31" atm and will be going 33" during next week sometime :D i decided 35" may cause to many clearance problems and be to slow for a victorian conditions with stock gearing, + as of monday i will have clearance to fit 33" and i want tyres asap.

I've got 27.5" now :) and I plan to run 38". I'll be doing some guard cutting and a body lift in a few weeks which should accomodate some 33" until the Volvos go in. Then I'll be sweet with no gearing worries.

Run 33's happy with em. I don't think I would go 35's but I aint happy with cramming the discs inside 15' rims. But when I move to QLD I mat consider but aint the cops pricks about car mods.

Wont go to beserk on the GU I can't justify bashing the piss outta it and I don't have a business to write it off on.......

Would like to build a buggy but it all depends on the Unlimited rules coming into fruition then me and the oldman......Okay the oldman will build a buggy to the lightest allowed specs and run Lux running gear with the applicable strengthened CVs'. Probably a copy of someones link setup as this will be my first hybrid build......Dads 50th so I will adhere to KISS and the specy bits I will buy of the top guys as they turf it for the cutting edge stuff and on a light buggy tyres will be arounf the 37' to keep it in line with the KISS principle........

Yeah, monoform mongrels, atm, I think they are only a 32 inch tyre.

As for me, I have 32's, want 35's for offroad and 33's on road.

2L power house is my limiting factor.

Hey Singo, I have Q78 (36 x 10.5) Swampers on 16"s and the Procomp Xterrains are 315/70/16 (which are a 35x12.5x16). Seem to me to be the perfect size for the GU, little more needed down low, but the dtronic will fix, which mine gets fitted as soon as the highmount is in.

Yah Yah Steve Q78's would go a set but I aint doin it without gears or rockhoppers and then I am pumping money into a truck that I do not intend to flog just yet. I am now happy with it's low range performance ( I mean I am satisfied to leave it at that) Next is the pig truck which will be the something I get my hands on wether I start at a frame then just collect shit or start with a old Lux, 40, 60, MQ(ute about the right wheelbase and different) or even 55 I like the front end on the 55's I reckon they look tops done up and the have insta tube guards if ya want....so ya know where I am leaning......went to the last hour of the Vic winch and went to the pres didn't see ya but saw your bro's truck sittin down the bottom sorry I missed you......
