Wheel and tyre combinations

Post by Mick G »

I am wondering what tyre and wheel size people would suggest for my S2 "99 disco. It has a 2" lift from OME shocks and springs and currently sits on standard factory michelins with 16" wheels. I am trying to get as big a tyre as possible for more clearance, grip and flex etc and am leaning towards a mud terrain tyre - really like the BFG Mud Terrain. This would be for play only and the factory wheels and tyres would go back on for day to day. Never been down this buying tyre and wheel road beofre so all tips and tricks appreciated.

Cheers

buy the biggest most agressive tyres you can fit after cutting your guards out..
then wheel it and break axles...
then come SEARCH on here on how to upgrade your axles
