Post by tuff 75 »

I got a cruiser and at idle it makes a rudder rudder rudder rudder (knocking, rattling) noise and when i put the clutch in it goes away and when i rev it gets louder 2. I think it mite b time for a new gear box or would it just be the bearings? if i was 2 get it rebuilt how can i tuffen the basterd so it can take a flogging

it sounds like your throw out bearing. most cruisers ive had rattle as long as you clucth works its still fine just one of the little clips that hold on has come loose.
