Should i weld the sun gears up on the front diff!!!!!
Can this be done without to much drammas while driving in 4x4, I dont intend driving on the HWY with it locked in, but I thought it would be good to have locked in when you do need it.
What is the worst case point not doing this mod...
Thanks

so they can unlock the diff when it needs to turn..
eg.. a welded diff is great when negotiating difficult terrain.. but when it comes to turning.. it'll want to go straight ahead instead of turning, and you'll 'need to turn it off' but wont be able to... thats where the air locker comes in... as it allows that option...
TOM
lockers in the front (airlockers) when on make it difficult to turn
turning circle is like that of a 22 seater bus!
another reason why airlockers rock ... u can turn them off when not needed
having a welded front it'll be like a 22 seater bus 24/7
will put alot of strain on all steering components and wear quicker
blah blah blah ...

God of Magnificant Ideas!
I wouldn't recommend it
My front in the buggy is welded. I have full hydro steering, so the weight of the steering is not a problem (one finger turning
) but as others have suggested, it will turn like a boat
So, veeery heavy steering and massive turning circle = no good
Save up for a proper locker - ARBs rock
