The best bit was the Feroza made it through to the beach on both crossings, but the inlaws lard arse Patrol couldn't make it up the dunes.

The area is well worth the drive from Adelaide (around 2.5hrs). I haven't posted pics of the harder bits as I was too busy driving!

From what I've heard you can drive on the beach all the way from Robe through to where these pics were taken and then a bit further on to the Murray mouth.

We were down there for six days camping at a friend's farm. Would be an awesome place to do some more exploring around- couldn't go too far due to the Patrol waiting for us to come back....

18 PSI in the tyres, 4000 -5000RPM and low range 2nd - the Feroza didn't have any probs!

Thee seemed to be a lot more tracks in the area to explore too.

I thought we would have seen some pics of the mouth from the other side.....not the Goolwa side !!!

The tracks I know of only go south from Robe - Beachport - Canunda NP......otherwise there are some tracks towards the beach from Kingston and the Coorong (I thought) could only be accessed by Tea Tree or 42 Mile Crossings, with relatively less marked tracks all the way to the mouth.

Gotta say I loved the pics, but was disappointed that you couldn't drag the inlaws to the mouth.

All the pics are from the south side, but we didn't go far on the beach and didn't get anywhere near the mouth. The pics are of Tea Tree and 42 Mile crossing; got all the way onto the beach at Tea Tree and stopped just short at 42 Mile (tide was coming in and the entry /exit off the beach was a bit suss - didn't want to get stuck by myself!!!)

The Patrol weighs around 3000kg and for some unknown reason he didn't want to let the tyres down I was spewing as I would have liked to drive further along the beach. Can't see much point having a fully decked out rig and then being scared of using it!?

BTW the first two pics are from Tea Tree crossing; then two from 42 Mile; then sitting on the beach just south of the entry / exit of Tea Tree; and finally stopped just short of the beach at 42 Mile.

Thank you for the piccies! I've added them to my collection. Mike H. used to send me pics of Oz and I must admit that you have some of the most beautiful country in the world! That's a great looking Feroza also! I really love the look of our little trucks!

All the pics are with the new Dobinson 45mm lift rear leafs fitted. They give a hard ride, but cope well with loads. Handling at highway speeds is actually improved.
