does anyone have a manual handy and can look up for me the torque specification for 1HD-T (same for 1HZ and 1HD-FT I'm pretty sure) big end bolts? can't find my book I think it is something like 72Nm +90 degrees +90 degrees but would be good to confirm. since I'll be under the truck could you sms it to me on 0404016235. free ice cream to the winner

they are apparently reusable in this case, though I'm sure others will argue. There is no plastic deformation involved, and I visually inspect them all for necking.
I have successfully re-used 1HZ head bolts too... maybe a bit dodgy but it was a minimum $, no warranty job.
bolts that are torqued and then tightened further to a specified angle are not reusable bolts. They are designed to stretch and should be replaced. Bolts which are just tightened to a specified torque, these can be reused as they aren't designed to stretch.

Thats what i thought too...they have a narrow section that stretches and keeps constant tension on the retained parts...thats not to say they cant be reused...just they are supposed to not be reused :-)
