Quito, its hard to answer as we do not know what you have available in Guatamala.

But if you have a car that originally had catalysts, then the manifolds are not so good. If you had one without catalysts the manifolds are fine, and should have 2 pipes either side that collect about 3/4 metre back.

Either way, you can cut off the pipe just after the collector , and run a 21/2 inch pipe back to rthe first muffler and same to the back.
A large glass pack muffler , plus a resonator at the back will be needed to stop drone.
I have a Flowmaster US muffler on mine with a glass pack resonator.
The best would be to have 2 x2/14 inch pipes into a two in two out muffler with twin pipes to the back. You would need a balance pipe between the two pipes placed in front of the gearbox crossmember then.

Of course that is up to you, but it will probably be too noisy and drone as you drive along. It is personal preference and attraction to police that governs this. there is no technical issue other than you could only fit a small muffler at the back..

You do have english dictionaries over there don't you...?

Drone

2 monotone, drone, droning
an unchanging intonation

a low continuous noise which does not change its note:
- the drone of an engine

Ease up ben, its a sort of loud annoying hum that rattles your ear drums, usually associated with large american v8's.
