Extractors for a 2.8D

Post by whiteknight »

have been tossing up wether to put extractors and a 2 1/4" system on my 2.8D. I cant afford the $3000 for a turbo but can get the extractors and exhaust for around $500.

Anyone that has done this what sort of increase did you notice? I pull a trailer when we go camping and am sick of changing down to 1st /2nd gear every incline i come too..

Wouldn`t waste ya money on them.

Brother and I both had 2.8`s, mine was just a bit faster then his before he got extractors and bigger exhaust fitted, after he had them fitted mine was still just that little bit faster.

The factory manifold is that good that little will be gained from fitting extractors. Although it will sound cool, thats about it.

Id save the $$$ for a turbo anyday.
