I see your point mate. Its like the v6 guys with commodores doing them up so they can say they beat a v8 while spending 2x the amount. If it makes you tingle then do it I suppose. At the end of the day who gives a f*ck what others think.

Well, I was talking to the owner of this beast today and asked him. Why turbo his car in this fashion? He said, he'd seen the site http://www.ststurbo.com doing the same sort of things in the states and he wanted to turbo a V8 so thought he'd give it a try. He had the car already and it's out of rego later in the year and he wanted a test mule to see if he could get it to work and he had the big block 429 looking for a home so he added it all together.
As I said this is only a test mule, and he has a 600 cubic inch big block being built to go in an XY Falcon and will fit the turbo the same way if it works as he hopes it will.
I'm still not convinced it's going to work but I've got to give him A+ for thinking outside the square.
Regards Andrew.
