are these any good? I am looking for some half decent budget lights and came across these for under $200.

Mate of mine has them.. seemed very good at night, and plenty of truckies have them aswell.. so for <$200 i dont really see a problem.

Edit: you can also get a pile of filters, same fashion as LF's that clip on the front for spread, yellow, blue, red etc etc.
Cheers,
Dan.

They won't pump out anything like a light force but for the bucks (and just under $100 each is the right sale price) they are absolutely awesome.

The new mounting design is better also with the allen key adjusters.

The pencils do throw a great light and they are cheap to replace if lost, broken or stolen.

We have used them for years with no hassles.

weld them on.. or remove them. Other than that, they can always come check em out one night, come back next night with tools.

I don't want to hi-jack, but i'll just add my thoughts on budget lighting.
I'm stoked with the output of my new NightStalkers I just bought. They're only about $130 a pair.
They're only 170mm not 220 like the bulls, but at that price, and rated Best Value by 4WDM i'm happy. Plus they throw out more than enough light to be annoying anywhere there's a street sign within a few hundred meters.
Oh, and they're meant to be the exact same light as the much more expensive IPF SuperRalleys......

Because the Bulls have such a huge mounting system you can easily drill and pin them. I have also seen grub screws tapped into them in an attempt to make it more difficult to knock off.

But, without whacking 10,000 volts across them each night...if someone wants them that bad...they will have a go.

It's a hard call...if you park nose in...they can't see them but it gives the bastards a nice protected area to work...if you park nose out... everyone can see them and it provides opportunity.

Try and park nose up to a wall or another vehicle or install a sensor light.

Cheers

Hi robbie,

I've had these on about 3 or 4 different trucks and they are by far the toughest I've seen, I wedled mine up on a truck I had so they couldn't get pinched and they wouldn't move out of adjustment. I've had a cockatoo hit one at around 140k's and it smashed the plastic lens cover and turned the light around but didn't break it, phucked the cocky though! Anyway I think they're awesome. They're also good with bad vibration too, doesn't bother them at all.

Edit....can you tell me where you're getting them as I would like some too.

Cheers,

Paul
