Hilux axle offsets..

Post by high n mighty »

My front left wheel hangs well out of the guard but my right is very legally in...

I ignored it since I got my pos but yesterday while swapping wheels between my missus brothers hilux(90 mod as well but petrol) I noticed that his pos is exactly the opposite :?

Is there any sensible reason cause I can't think of one apart from Toyota having some very badly skilled welders on deck :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :bad-words:

My ute has one sagged spring, because the cab is on a tilt one wheel seems to stick out from the guard further than the other.

Just a suggestion.

different offset in your wheels??? mismatched sunnies or something?

you put them on the other side (ie swapped left to right and vice versa) on your brothers rig???

Just a guess.

Ive never noticed this problem. But the most common cause for this would be worn spring bushes.

Brand new bushes atm Tony, replaced about 500kms ago.

Gunna have a look at the oldies lux tommorow then anyway, seems a coincidence two given truck having the same type of issue.
