1uzfe into 80 series
Has anyone fitted a 1uzfe to an a440f auto? or going the other way, an a341e auto to a hf2a transfer case?
If so what was required? Thanks in advance.

Don't know about whether the 1UZ will bolt to a HF2 transfer, but the 2UZ does.
Similarly, the A343 tranny can bolt up to the HF2 (USA FZJ80's).
Why not just use a 2UZ and tranny combo from a 100 Series?.

Yes, the 2uzfe bolts to a A750F which then goes to an HF2A, but I dont have either a 2uzfe or a A750F.
The a341e auto is the standard auto for the 1uzfe but what mods are required to fit the A341E to an HF2A transfercase?
Or alternatively bolting a 1UZFE to a A440F auto which is bolted to the HF2A anyway?
Same question, different way of asking

I don`t know t case numbers.
But if you are wanting to bolt from 1uz to a hilux chain case with the standard 1uz auto I think you need the tail housing and the out put shaft from a surf auto. If you want a geardriven hilux t case you then also need an adaptor from marlin between the surf auto tail housing and geardriven t case.
Remember I said I don`t know the t cases numbers

The first gxv 100 series was a 2uz (same block as 1uz) with a442 auto.
The bellhousing is $800 from toyota....the box/transfer will then bolt up.
Maybe the rod shop do a bell to something else of interest, i know they do a supra 5 speed on the ass of the 1uzfe....
As a foot note, the 1,2,3uzfe and the 1fzfe 4.5 six are in thesame zfe family of motors,,,the 1fzfe is a special make just for the cruiser....so the net says....SOOOO maybe....the 1fzfe bell and the 1uzfe bell wont be all that different....if it is just the starter position, you could fix that with a grinder :-)

Trying to clear this up a bit..... The 1uz comes standard with A340 (same box family as 4 runner/Surf).... was there a Bundera auto (ie that would bolt up to 1uz with bell from that motor and have cruiser split t/case)?
The 80 series came with A440 or A442 and will bolt up with bellhousing from early 100 series. What's the size difference between A440 and A340?
Later 2uz 100 series cruisers had 5 speed A750 auto but these are worth a fortune.
The manual from 1fzfe motors may bolt straight up to 1uz, and earlier cruisers with H150 box could do same if 1fzfe bell was sourced.
The manual from t/d Bundera or diesel 78/100 series (R151) can bolt up to 1uz with bell from CRS or Dellow.
That's 5 different families of boxes that can be adapted off the shelf for Hilux/ Cruiser.

Ok thats all good info...heres some more....the 1hz 100 series has a r151 box and transfer as standard...the 80 and 100 are thesame as far as transfers go on all other petrol and t/d models...so if u can get a r151 transfer from a 100 series, it might bolt to a a340 auto....the yanks got 1fzfe a340 auto 80's not the heavy duty a442's so there is stuff out there that will retro a 1uz into an 80....i would go the a44# over the a340 because they are a stronger box...if all you need is a bell, your going to fit it up pretty easily.
