Hi All,
Some of you know me and some of the more recent members may not as my frequenting of the site has dropped off somewhat the last year. Anyway i have a pretty modded/accesorized 93 NH j-top paj and its come time to move onto another car. As some of you know there is a limited market out there for 2nd hand modified trucks so i am looking for some interest from ppl who are looking to modify there standard car and help to bring mine back a sellable/tradeable vehicle. Basically i will throw down a bit of a list of whats on the car and if you wanna do a deal then let me know. you can email me at osborne_mp@hotmail.com or post or pm whichever. Here we go(sorry for limited detail but i kinda tired so ask me for more info and i will get it to you)
**Springs - pedders rear coils and front torsion bars, 3" lift on a j-top(less maybe on a hardtop)
**Arb Winch bar - black, modified for 40mm bodylift or will fit standard as well.
**Dual Battery Tray - custom made, sits next to original battery
**Sports steering wheel and boss
**10mm balljoint spacers - oooh i know that will interest some ppl.
**Factory rear diff lock
**1500kg towbar
**285/75R16 BFG MT KM tires x 4 on ROH mags
**2" body lift with solid ally blocks
**2500kg hayman reese towbar modified for 2" body lift(i.e sits up nice and high for good clearance)
There could be some other stuff which could be swapped off so don't be afraid to ask.

well guys i picked up my new car today. its brand new, my 1st brand new car, all 4 wheels are driven, and its a mitsubishi. buuuuuuuuuut its not quite as capable as the old redrocket. i got myself an Outlander VR-X in effect grey which is kinda like a gunmetal grey. its a really well spec'd car and i am really excited about it. sure it doesn't have low range but it has ralliart evo drivetrain, mivec and sports shift so i will be ripping it up the beach no probs. and it only has 20mm less ground clearance than a new pajero. gotta hold back though with no mods allowed.............cept maybe a ralliart airfilter, spotties and a uhf sssh you didn't hear that from me. i just didn't need a big 4wd anymore cause i don't go onto the dirt or mud and had enough of the boucing around. the old redrocket is still sitting out the front until its sold and bits taken off. so i will still be a mitsi forum member just a different mitsi. i will get some photos up for ya's when i get the rest of the photos for everyone else.
oh yeah i did get married march 20 as well so i guess i am prob on the road towards a family soon.

um i'm not really sure on that, someone hear might know.
i gotta say sorry to all the guys waiting for pics. my damn digi cam is buggered so will borrow one off my brother. trying to build a carport at same time for new car and light is scarse by the time i get home. the new car is going great, so speedy and smooth. poor old redrocket is parked up the side of the house awaiting its fate. will keep you posted.

I have read in some places they are going to release an outlander turbo with the detuned 2.0L turbo motor out of the evos like grantw's. 150kw and supposed to be competitive with the foresster XT. The 2.4L in mine will get me into enough trouble as is let alone another 30kw I know it would be great to lift and lock and all that jazz but over the years i have spent sooooo much money on cars and lost even more than i spent, I just gunna try and hold back a bit on this one.
I have been getting the evil eye everytime i mention anything about mods. I got the top of the range model so it already had lots of bits on it, but i will still add a ralliart airfilter, electronic rust proofing, paint protection, a uhf radio and a towbar but thats about the extent of the accesories i think. Will have to see how it goes on the beach first before i could warrant needing anything else. It even came with a 12v socket in the boot for a fridge. Oh and if anyone knows of anyone looking for a swb paj then pass on the info for it. I prob gunna let it go for a good price as well.

Is the Outlander engine anything like the 2.4 in the Triton? If so, look at this.
Also, a colleague at work has a few friends/relatives into wheeling, but I don't think they've discovered the joys of OL yet. Have you put together as "for sale" blurb (including start price?) I could send them?
Cheers,
Scott

I presume you mean variable valve timing? I knew about that - that's the "mivec" bit Mike mentioned earlier.
I'm wondering if the bolt patterns on the manifolds will be the same - that's the interesting bit.

I found a big write up on my engine when i was researching the car. Mine is a 4G69 designation. It is an upgrade they did on a 4G64. they added the mivec. shortened the block by 50mm, lightend all the internals, longer runners on the inlet manifold, increased the stroke and upped the compression. a fair bit of stuff really. bolt patterns i have no idea, the engine first went into an outlander late last year in its new form. before that the 4G64 was used in the 1st gen outlander and eclipse's in the us. the 4G69 is also used in a ralliart lancer in the us.
