Oh and 5.71 gears are getting on the thin side....be interested to see how they go.

mate of mine ran them in his hilux with dual case, dual lockers and 33's/35's and drove the shitter out of it and they didnt break in over 4 years, then they went into another mate of mines surf and they r still going 2 this day

so in a zook i think they will hold up fine

Hypolux you have blessed me with news I wanted to hear. I feel so much better knowing that.

I ended up going 5.29, but may still change them over for 5.71'safter reading that.

LSD's???? Why not lockers?

LSD won't help that much when you have wheels in the air.

changed my mind on the chop, gonna keep itlooking standard. project has taken a back seat for a while cos of building other trucks for events and also the coin factor.

LSD's work well if you feather the brake and know how to drive them properly.

Have been stuffing around setting up diffs and stripping all the hilux crap too.

Have decided on a 5 link front now as well as a 4 link rear, should handle really well. Long arms, lots of travel. remote cannisters all round. Will be shit hot when it's done.

Another thing that held me up was setting up the ratios. Must have late model diesel centres to fit the bigger ratios cos of the crownwheel thickness. otherwise all bad!!!
