PTO Winch Query

Post by coxy321 »

Just a question about PTO winches. Someone has offered me a PTO winch off a GQ, but they said it would bolt straight onto my MK LWB. If it does fit, what do I have to look for on the winch when i'm checking it out?? Do these units usually have any problems or downfalls?? He's probly only going to want a coupla hundred bucks for it, and it looks really tidy. Been sitting under his bench for 2 years.

G'day ont of my mates had a PTO on his GQ and they are a good winch but the GQ bolt into the side of the gear and the MQ goe's on the back of the box there a bit different and wont match up.

But if it not any good to you, I will give you good money for it. $$$$$

The PTO component of the winch will definitely not suit since as the other poster stated, the location is different.

The winch will bolt to the front of the truck probably but there will be nowhere for the shafts to go.

Richard.

P.S. I too will offer good money for such a gem :-)

if you don't buy it, I want it. I broke a piece of mine in a small accidents and I really need that piece. Its the left hand side piece, where the drum sits.

Thanks, Gabi
