picked up an old hj47 the other day (still down in NSW) apparently pressurising the radiator? Sounds like head gasket? THe H motors were more vulnerable to cracked heads - not to say 2h are immune?
Comments appreciated

Pretty much every 2H head I've pulled off is cracked. Even good runners. Just as bad or worse than the H. You never know though, you could get lucky and just have to do the gasket. You can buy a new head for about a grand.
it is comon for 2h heads to get hair line cracks between the valve seats .
but some cracks won't affect it ... and some do ......
i have some good s/hand heads instock . and i sell new bare heads .....
