Fox air shocks

Ruff, what was your general impression of the Fox air shock setup over normal coil/shock setups in the truck?

Are these something that work well on the buggys also?

Simon these things were made for buggies, and are quick and easy to adjust from what ive heard. If your after more info on them have a search on pirate as they have been running them for far longer in the US then here in Aus.

Hope your not thinking of putting them on the old landie :twisted:

Why not they had it a old landie at tt and seemed ok.

is seemed to work well balenced thou

when he turned the steering going up the rocky horror at the 80 point mark seemed to unload

If they are not set perfectly they will not perform to the standards they should, Rod's are set and they work really well. ;) :twisted:

I have never seen them on a rig before ttc and checked them out on the lockless. They looked very cool as the whole area is cleaned up so much without coils in the way, even all the spring perches were cut off

Im even considering a buggy now after my first taste of watching a comp, i think i would run thes for sure. I hear theyre 500 bucks each though..

They were great. They still need some fine tunning as was shown on the Flex ramp. It Squared up on the front axle. They have so many advantages over Conventional springs as they can be adjusted for almost any style of driving from Crawling to High speed and they are so much lighter. They just take some time to set up right. I bought a set for my Buggy a few months ago but hadn't got around to fitting them as i was happy with the performance of the coils and shocks but after driving this i found no disadvantages so will be setting them up in my buggy for the next round of WeRock.

tony, how do u like the extra link setup on the front? it looked to flex well. did u have both back bolts undone on the radius arms?

The link set up in the front is the same in my buggy. We actually ended up with the Radius arms modified and they are now cut off after the rear bolt. We had oil filter to Pinion clearence problems so had to rotate the pinion lower so the Radius arms would no longer fit.

How hard are they to setup correctly for a light vehicle? I have read about them here and on piratte and the info is alittle conflicting. Some say easy some say hard and this is evenly split between people with and without experience in these sort o things.

Is there an easy formual to dial them in or is trial and error?
